FAQ

Verse Source & Use Next Verse

What is Verse Source?

Controls where the verse text on wallpapers comes from: ‘Random Verse’ (Luma picks a verse) or ‘Match Reader Progress’ (use the same passage as in the Reader).

What does Use Next Verse mean?

When enabled, every time the wallpaper is set/auto‑refreshed, the Reader moves forward to the next verse. This switch works only when Verse Source is ‘Match Reader Progress’.

How do the combinations work?

• Random + Auto change (Shortcuts → Automations → run “Luma · Auto”): each run shows a random verse; Reader position stays the same.
• Random + Manual change (in‑app Set as Wallpaper; or manually running “Luma · Devotion” in Shortcuts; or triggering “Luma · Devotion” via Action Button/Back Tap): verse stays the same; only wallpaper changes; Reader stays the same.
• Reader + Use Next Verse OFF: show the current Reader verse; only wallpaper changes.
• Reader + Use Next Verse ON: show the current Reader verse; after setting, advance to the next verse.

Where do I change them?

Verse Source: Settings → Verse Source.
Use Next Verse: open Reader, tap the Settings drawer, then toggle ‘Use Next Verse’.

Auto Wallpaper

How do I enable Auto Wallpaper?

Go to Settings → Auto Wallpaper and toggle it on. Choose a frequency that suits you.

Why some frequencies are locked?

More frequent schedules are a Plus feature. Subscribe to unlock and enjoy faster refreshes.

Export

How to export HD without watermark?

Subscribe to Plus, then use Export → HD. Your artwork will be rendered in full quality.

Can I save to Photos?

Yes. Grant Photos permission when prompted, then tap “Export to Album”.

Favorites & History

Where are my favorites?

Open “Favorites” from the Settings/Me tab. You can add from Export with the heart button.

What is History?

History lists your recent random wallpapers. Plus members can view the full history.

Shortcuts

How to use iOS Shortcuts?

On the Settings page, install the provided shortcuts and follow the guide under “Shortcut Guide”.

I enabled Auto Wallpaper and set a frequency, but it doesn’t auto‑update.

Auto updates are executed by Apple’s Shortcuts Automations. Install the shortcuts (including “Luma · Auto”), then add an Automation (Shortcuts → Automations) to run “Luma · Auto” on your schedule and turn off “Ask Before Running”. Only then will wallpapers change automatically.

I tapped Set as Wallpaper but the wallpaper didn’t change.

Install the shortcuts first. Without the shortcuts, Set as Wallpaper only saves the result to History; it doesn’t change the system wallpaper automatically. After installing, run “Luma · Auto” to apply.

Editor

What does the bottom toolbar do?

From left to right: 1) Preview/Lock Screen preview; 2) Main text style; 3) Reference style; 4) Line spacing slider; 5) Background panel (type, black/white mode, opacity/blur, corner radius).

How do I move and scale text?

Drag with one finger to move the verse block (text + reference). Pinch with two fingers to change size: pinching near the reference adjusts its font size; elsewhere adjusts the main text.

How do I change the gap between text and reference?

Use the bottom toolbar → Line spacing icon to open the slider, then adjust the gap between the main text and the reference.

What’s in the Main Text panel?

Font picker, color, alignment (center/left/right/justify), shadow (none/light/medium/heavy), and stroke (none/black/white).

What’s in the Reference panel?

Same controls as the main text, applied only to the reference line.

How do I use the Background panel?

Choose type (off, solid border, feathered, or blur border), toggle black/white mode, adjust opacity or blur via the slider, and set corner radius.

How do I preview on the Lock Screen?

Tap the preview button in the toolbar to show a lock‑screen style preview with time/date, then fine‑tune position and background.

How do I export?

Tap Next in the top‑right to open Export. If the preview isn’t ready yet, the app will show a short message.
